- ➤ Local agencies will offer Rapid Response sessions for workers laid off from Kroehler Furniture and Queen Transportation. - ➤ Health officials confirmed that a child — who was not vaccinated — is North Carolina’s first pediatric measles case after exposure in South Carolina, and the child has now recovered. Hickory Daily Record
- ➤ Free radon test kits are now available across northwest counties — part of the annual giveaway designed to help residents check homes for radon risks through basements, crawl spaces, and floors.
