- ➤ Several hospitals enforce age-based visitor limits amid increased flu activity. UNC Health Blue Ridge & Caldwell, effective Jan. 5, restrict visitors 11 and younger in inpatient areas, while Catawba Valley Health in Hickory, effective Dec. 30, bans children under 13 except in special cases; Frye Medical Center has no restrictions.
