ACCIDENTS NEWS

  • US 321 northbound in Hickory was slowed by a traffic crash near 2nd Avenue NW and US 321 by McDonald's and Starbucks on January 19; police and fire crews responded to the scene.  WHKY

  • Vistance Networks cancelled a $60M plan to expand its fiber manufacturing plant in Catawba, causing a nearly $2M state grant to be terminated amid restructuring after selling part of its business, and it will remain in North Carolina with 1,476 employees.  Go Foothills
