- ➤ Lenoir-Rhyne women’s basketball beat 23rd-ranked Lincoln Memorial 71-63 in overtime on Friday, Jan. 23 to claim their ninth win. Aaliyah El scored 21 points while Abigail Brown had a double-double — the Bears will play Catawba on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 5:30 p.m. in Salisbury. WHKY
- ➤ The Bears defeated the Lincoln Memorial Railsplitters 99-63 at Shuford Arena on Friday, Jan. 23 as a 29-2 run over nine minutes delivered a 36-point win. They improved to 16-4 overall and will face Catawba next Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Salisbury. WHKY
- ➤ On Jan. 23, 2026, high school basketball games in the Western Foothills 4A/5A and Northwestern 6A/7A conferences featured close contests in both girls' and boys' divisions.
