- ➤ Lenoir-Rhyne’s softball team swept a doubleheader at McCrorie Family Stadium on Wednesday — winning 8-0 and 8-5 over Belmont Abbey, with Autumn Joyce hitting a home run and Madison Primm driving in key runs as the Bears will face USC-Aiken on Saturday. WHKY
- ➤ Lenoir-Rhyne men's golf team opened season yesterday at the Spring Kickoff Intercollegiate, finishing tied for 9th amid strong competition — 11 of 18 teams were ranked in the top 50. Matthew McDougall tied for 11th, and the Bears will compete at the Bulldog Spring Classic at Pawleys Island in two weeks. WHKY
- ➤ On Tuesday, Feb. 10, high school girls and boys basketball games in the Western Piedmont, Western Foothills and Northwestern conferences delivered competitive final scores — teams like Draughn, North Lincoln and Freedom led the action. WHKY
