A Taylorsville man, Kellyn Page Odaniel (23), was arrested Friday after failing to appear on felony charges of robbery with a dangerous weapon and cocaine possession linked to an armed robbery on Three Forks Church Road, and he is now held in the Alexander County Detention Center under a $300,000 bond.

Governor Josh Stein announced on April 25 that HUD approved North Carolina's Action Plan for a $1.4 billion grant to rebuild western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene.

The plan will focus on housing for low and moderate-income residents and fund infrastructure and economic revitalization — pending HUD certification of the state's financial controls.
