- ➤ Lenoir-Rhyne softball beat Wingate 4 to 1 on Friday morning at Wingate to secure a spot in today's South Atlantic Conference championship game — Faith Carrigan pitched a shutout and got a key RBI double in the sixth inning. The Bears need one win in this double-elimination contest to repeat as tournament champions. WHKY
- ➤ At the SAC Track & Field Championships, the Lenoir-Rhyne Men's Track and Field Team finished second and Kahlil West was named Field Athlete of the Meet after winning the long jump and placing in the decathlon and high jump — Oliver Thatcher set a personal record of 6947 points in the decathlon while freshman Havyn Spain won the 400 meters. The team earned multiple hardware recognitions this week. WHKY
- ➤ On May 2, Lenoir-Rhyne beat Lincoln Memorial with a score of 5 to 3 in the SAC tournament as Madison Wilson pitched seven strong innings and Alexandria Gray and Kaylee Chapman helped the team score runs. The Bears will play Wingate Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the next round of the tournament. WHKY
- ➤ The Lenoir-Rhyne Women’s Track & Field team finished runner-up at the SAC Championships as Alexis Brown earned Track Athlete of the Meet by winning the 100m, 200m and anchoring a 4x100m relay at a new DII time of 44.73—while Damyja Ortiz won the 400m and helped secure the 4x400m relay victory.
