- ➤ Major Bryan Adams, a native with 27 years of service, will be the new Chief of Police on July 1 after Police Chief Reed Baer retires. He earned a Criminal Justice degree from Western Carolina University and is a graduate of the FBI’s National Academy—his work in key units readied him for the role. WHKY
- ➤ Beginning Wednesday, May 14, contractors working on OLLE Art Walk construction will close the intersection of 9th Street N.W., 2nd Avenue N.W. and 3rd Avenue Court N.W. to mill and resurface the road—detours are clearly marked and the work may take three days weather permitting. WHKY
