- ➤ Hickory Police arrested 55-year-old David Allen Jennings, a homeless man, on a felony warrant for trespassing and littering and for possession of methamphetamine as he was wanted in Richland County, and he was held at the Catawba County Detention Facility with bonds set at $1,500 secured + $500 while a court appearance in Newton was scheduled for May 16. - ➤ Western Piedmont Symphony presents Mozart and The Mandolin today at 7:30 p.m. at P.E. Monroe Auditorium—guest artist Jeff Midkiff will play his mandolin with a mix of Bluegrass and classical music as the orchestra marks 60 years. WHKY
