- ➤ A Hickory man was found guilty of murder in the 2021 killing of a Catawba County woman, with her daughter stating he took something they could never get back—he killed the future they were meant to share. Hickory Daily Record
- ➤ Iredell County Sheriff’s Officers are seeking 24-year-old Cameron Max Burleyson from Cumberland Road on multiple felony drug charges after a May 21 search of his Statesville residence—officers seized over 15 pounds of hydroponic marijuana, 1,281 THC cartridges, marijuana edibles, 50 dosage units of Adderall and $2,500 in cash following citizen complaints. - ➤ The only meeting scheduled for Hickory city boards and commissions next week will be the Business Development Committee meeting on Wednesday, May 28 at 11:30 a.m. in the Map Conference Room of the Julian G.
