Good morning, Hickory.

A 26-year-old was killed in a U.S. 321 crash in Hickory when police say an impaired driver ran a red light—causing the accident.

The Hickory Crawdads won 7-1 over the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers last Friday at Frans with 4,276 fans watching as Antonis Macias reached base four times and Thomas Ireland earned his fifth win on a 10-hit game.

The win secured the series for Hickory — they will look to extend their streak in tomorrow’s contest when Caden Scarborough takes the mound.
