CRIME NEWS
- ➤ Kenneth Otto Jones, 60, of 26th Street SW was arrested on August 7 by sheriff’s officers and faces two counts of trafficking methamphetamine plus charges for fleeing arrest, maintaining a vehicle or place for controlled substances, and possession with intent to sell & deliver marijuana and drug paraphernalia while being held on an $850,000 bond with a District Court hearing set for August 11. - ➤ 48-year-old Bradley Wayne Misenheimer of West N.C. 10 in Hickory was arrested on August 7 by Conover PD on felony larceny and breaking and entering charges, and he is held at Catawba County Detention Facility under a $15,000 bond with a court date set for August 25. WHKY
- ➤ Chasity Dawn Ross (36, Morganton resident) pleaded guilty to trafficking methamphetamine and received a six- to eight-year prison sentence plus a $50,000 fine after Hickory officers recovered drugs at a convenience store; Judge Jacqueline Grant (Buncombe County) imposed the sentence in Catawba County Superior Court on August 7.
