- ➤ The City of Hickory will kick off the holiday season with the annual Lowes Foods Christmas Parade & Tree Lighting on Nov. 21. A Fallen Heroes ministry procession will start at 5:45 p.m. and a parade led by grand marshal Hickory FC will finish with Santa lighting the tree at Union Square — live music and winter displays will also be part of the evening. SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Conference Carolinas announced that five schools, including Lenoir-Rhyne University, will join as associate members in men's and women's swimming for the 2026-27 season—expanding the conference to 12 women's and 11 men's swimming programs. WHKY
- ➤ On November 19th, head coach Nicole Barringer said her Lenoir-Rhyne volleyball team was ranked third in the final NCAA Southeast Regional rankings—along with Wingate, Anderson, and Carson-Newman, they advanced to the SAC semi-finals at the Rock Hill Sports and Events Center on Friday. The top eight teams will travel for the NCAA Tournament selection show airing on November 24th at 7:30 p.m. WHKY
