🏛️ Government
Governor Josh Stein and his team announced $500,000 in grants—given to Rebuild Haywood and the Western North Carolina Conference of United Methodist Churches—to repair and winterize homes damaged by Hurricane Helene.
Additional funds of nearly $50,000 have been awarded to The Beacon Network and Rebuild Haywood to help winterize temporary housing for families displaced by the storm.
