- ➤ The J. Iverson Riddle Developmental Center will host its 49th Annual Storybook Holiday Parade on Thursday, Dec. 4 at 3 p.m. with marching bands, fire trucks, floats, and a visit from Santa Claus while Grand Marshal Kyle Petty leads the event, and parade officials will control traffic by starting one-way flow at noon and closing an entrance—measures that include a clearly marked Quiet Zone for guests needing a quieter area. - ➤ On Saturday, December 6 in the Drendel Auditorium, the Hickory Music Factory will present 'Joy To The World' — a holiday music event featuring select students, faculty and international musicians from Russia, Cyprus, India, Portugal, Guatemala and the Hmong diaspora that will perform traditions like Las Posadas, Christmas and Natale.
