- ➤ Hickory Police responded to a report at Deluxe Inn on July 4th when they found Mary Elizabeth Ervin, 30, dead from a gunshot at 6:41 p.m.—they obtained a murder warrant for suspect James David Houser and are now searching for him. Go Foothills
